Fall Hair Color We Are Dyeing to Try!

Its time to start thinking about getting your hair fall fabulous again!  While the temperatures are still soaring here in Austin the fashion world is buzzing about what is hot (and what is not) for fall 2013.  Here are some hair color ideas to consider as we move into the cooler months.

Brunettes:   This fall tone down your dramatic ombre and try something more natural.  Subtle painted on highlights that mimic natural sun bleached hair are right on trend this season.  Try adding some caramel highlights towards the ends for fair skin or maybe some violet or red tones for darker skin.  This painted on technique looks very natural but adds warmth and dimension.  Of course fall is also the time to get brave and try that darker shade of brown you have been considering like a rich chocolate or dark auburn!

Blondes: Balayage is the hot trend with blondes for fall.  With balayage color is painted on to the hair with a brush and does not use the traditional foiling method.  This can create a sun-kissed, natural highlight.  For this fall try a subtle ombre effect by having balayage highlights that are more intense towards the ends of the hair.  Want to go a little darker for fall but want to stay blonde?  Add some lowlights in light brown or honey tones.  This will make the lighter pieces pop while adding lots of dimension! Another way to change it up is to book a toner.  Toning down your existing highlights hair will make heavily highlighted Summer hair fall ready!

Reds: Finding the right red for you can be hard but it is such a fun fall color.  Fair skin tones look great with copper hues.  Already rocking a strawberry blonde?  Try a darker more vibrant copper for fall.  Trying a shade darker will add drama and warmth.  Darker skin tones look great with red shades in plum and violet.  A true red can also work with many skin tones.  Blondes and Brunettes can add red slowly with highlights or lowlights.  Want something fun and funky?  Try adding a piece of vibrantly colored red.  It has the same fun funky vibe as many of the pastel colors of summer with a fall palette.
