<p><a href="http://www.maximumfx.com/2012/01/my-hair-color-fades-too-fast-what-can-i-do/color_conserve/" rel="attachment wp-att-2719"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-2719" title="color_conserve" src="http://www.maximumfx.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/color_conserve-170x223.jpg" alt="salons in austin, hair salons in austin, maximum fx, hair, hair salon, aveda, hair color" width="170" height="223" /></a>So many times I hear clients expressing frustration over the same dilemma, they walk out of the salon with great color and then after a few weeks it begins to fade, look brassy, and lose vibrancy. The culprit is usually using the wrong products at home. Here is a quick guide to Aveda at-home color care:</p>
<p><strong>All colors: Use Color Conserve </strong><a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16531/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Color-Conserve-Shampoo/index.tmpl">shampoo</a><strong> and </strong><a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16908/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Color-Conserve-Conditioner/index.tmpl">conditioner</a><br />
Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner protects and preserves color treated hair with uv-filters derived from ingredients like wintergreen and cinnamon bark; protecting hair from damage and fading due to sun exposure.</p>
<p><strong>Blondes</strong><br />
To neutralize unwanted brassy tones use <a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16646/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Blue-Malva-Shampoo/index.tmpl">Blue Malva</a> shampoo and conditioner. Blue Malva is also great for neutralizing yellow tones on grey hair. To enhance golden tones stick with the <a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16532/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Camomile-Shampoo/index.tmpl">Camomile</a> shampoo and conditioner.</p>
<p><strong>Redheads</strong><br />
<a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16529/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Madder-Root-Shampoo/index.tmpl">Madder Root</a> shampoo and conditioner are your new best friends.</p>
<p><strong>Brunettes</strong><br />
To enhance warm tones use <a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/17161/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Clove-Shampoo/index.tmpl">Clove</a> shampoo and conditioner. To impart cool tones or neutralize warm tones use <a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/16782/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/Black-Malva-Shampoo/index.tmpl">Black Malva</a> shampoo and conditioner.</p>
<p>Finally, for uber protection use <a href="http://www.aveda.com/product/7409/20183/Hair-Care/Hair-Concern/protect-color/color-conservetm-daily-color-protect/index.tmpl">Color Conserve’s Daily Color Protect</a> before applying your normal styling products. It triple protects your hair color by helping seal in color, fortifying with anti-oxidents to help prevent color loss and protecting against UV fadage.</p>
<p>Life can get dull and boring sometimes, but hair color doesn’t have to!</p>
